Laura Taylor

Owner/Trainer

Laura remembers when she first started focusing on fitness. She would go to a big impersonal gym, take a few classes, and work out on the machines: one day arms, the next day legs. At one point, she also took up running and remembers working up to three miles in 30 minutes.

Then her brother found a blog recounting a journalist’s first week of CrossFit. If the journalist survived, her brother said he would give it a try. Both of them were hooked immediately. It was fun and different, and the workouts were constantly changing, not stagnant. She saw progress right away, even on things she wasn’t focusing on. Although she wasn’t doing much running, she did a 5K in under 23 minutes. Although she no longer was bench pressing regularly, she could press 30-40 pounds more than before.

Hunkered down as a software developer by day, one of her favorite parts of being a coach is watching new Jet City clients get excited about CrossFit. After that, there’s no end to what they can accomplish.

Allison Gaboury

Allison took her first CrossFit class in January 2013, after months of Coach Stacy telling her that it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. She jumped in with both feet and has had a blast since then. Allison has been involved with sports since she could walk; ranging from softball, dance, gymnastics, track, ultimate frisbee, and flag football. She loves competing, and since concussions are minimal in CrossFit, it is her sport of choice now. Allison always looks forward to workouts with handstand push-ups, but cries a little inside whenever long distance running is on the docket.

Kelsey started CrossFit in August 2012. She has always been a part of sports; softball, basketball, soccer, guitar hero (totally a sport) etc. Ever since she can remember, she was wearing some youth league jersey with a goofy team name. By high school her focus was on softball, more specifically pitching. After high school she started doing fitness competitions. Then she found THE CrossFit... Immediately loved the team environment, competition, challenges, and burpees (not really), and has been doing CrossFit ever since! Kelsey also loves coffee, puppies, and....ICE CREAM!
