Community Day - January 6th, 2018
No fitness experience needed. No, really.
Walking into any gym can be intimidating, we get it. That's why we make it our mission to welcome everyone: the theater kid who's never exercised in their life, the software developer who sits all day, the middle aged mom trying to keep up with her kids, and the young professional with an athletic past. At Jet City, athleticism isn't how we define our members. We strive to become better, healthier versions of ourselves each day.
We host a free community day workout each month to welcome those who want to see what Jet City CrossFit is about. Everyone is welcome - we don't care what you can (or can't) do, we just care that you're here! The schedule for Community day is:
- 9:30 am: Coffee & paperwork (fitness/injury background + liability waiver)
- 10:00am: Community workout for ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS
- 11:00am: Snacks & stretches (and get to know the gym)
Come prepared to have fun. The movements will be things anyone can do - we have ways to make everything harder or easier depending on each person, and can adapt to any injury or limitation. You also won't need to worry about speaking the CrossFit lingo or knowing what a "power clean" is just yet.
- Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in.
- Tennis shoes or sneakers are a good idea.
- Bring a water bottle.
- We recommend eating a healthy breakfast before working out.
Experience firsthand what makes us different. If you've googled CrossFit, you may be expecting a room full of sweaty, muscle-bound people throwing weights around and pounding protein shakes. We do lift weights and we focus on proper nutrition - but that doesn't define us. Community is at the center of who we are at Jet City. We are a group of people that support each and every member at the gym. We cheer each other on and pick each other up.
